Job Summary

The Front Desk Associate is responsible for managing customer sales transactions, operating the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, and providing excellent customer service at the store level. The role also supports daily store operations, cash handling, and basic administrative duties to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Greet customers and attend to walk-in sales in a professional and courteous manner
  2. Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system to process sales, issue receipts, and manage transactions
  3. Handle cash, mobile money, and other approved payment methods accurately
  4. Ensure proper opening and closing of the store, including preparation of the sales area
  5. Assist with opening and securing store entrances, including metal shutters where applicable
  6. Maintain accurate daily sales records and reconcile cash at the end of each shift
  7. Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and product requests
  8. Ensure the front desk and sales area are clean, organized, and presentable
  9. Support stock monitoring and report low stock levels to management
  10. Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards
  11. Perform any other duties assigned by the Store Supervisor or Management

Qualifications and Skills

  1. Minimum of Diploma Certificate or higher
  2. Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or POS operations is an advantage
  3. Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash accurately
  4. Good communication and customer service skills
  5. Basic computer literacy
  6. High level of honesty, attention to detail, and accountability
  7. Physically able to perform store duties, including standing for long periods

Working Conditions

  1. Full-time, store-based role
  2. May involve shift work, weekends, and public holidays
