Job Summary
The Water Treatment Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining water treatment and purification equipment to ensure the consistent production of safe, clean, and potable water in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate water treatment and purification machines according to established procedures
- Monitor treatment processes, pressure levels, flow rates, and water quality parameters
- Conduct routine quality checks and basic water testing to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Perform daily cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance of machines and equipment
- Identify and report equipment faults, abnormal readings, or operational issues promptly
- Maintain accurate production logs, maintenance records, and quality control documentation
- Ensure proper handling and storage of treatment chemicals and materials
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies
- Assist with loading, unloading, and packaging of treated water products where required
- Support general plant operations and perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of Senior High School Certificate or equivalent (Technical training is an advantage)
- Prior experience in water treatment, production, or machine operation is an advantage
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment operation
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Physically fit and able to perform routine operational tasks
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required
Working Conditions
- Machine-based role with exposure to machinery, water, and treatment chemicals
- Requires standing for long periods and performing routine physical tasks
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory
